Description: 

• Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully (COSEM) is an educator-led 501c3 grassroots nonprofit supporting school communities through learning experiences, communities of practice, mentors, and resources for mindfulness-based social and emotional learning (MBSEL). We empower education professionals to explore, personally practice, and create an inclusive culture of well-being in our schools through advocating and developing embodied sustainable systems of care. By joining together as we integrate holistic approaches in education, we equip ourselves, our students, and our communities with skills to heal and thrive, and create a more equitable, mindful, and compassionate world.

Services We Provide: 

• Connection: Engage on COSEM's online mindful educator community through our Member Site. We also connect our members to quality resources and references to support their journey. 

• Community: Join our monthly Community Circle to support your well-being through mindfulness experiences and reflections, as well as opportunities to lead practices. As a community, we advocate for MBSEL to support mental health and well-being within schools. 

• Learning: COSEM offers professional learning hours (PDHs & CEUs) through our online Learning Library. Additionally, we offer an ongoing book study using our Educating Mindfully Book, as well as our  Mindfulness-Based Social-Emotional Learning (MBSEL) Micro-Credential program to develop your skills and confidence in creating and leading MBSEL. Our MBSEL program contains mentorship and coaching opportunities. 

• Events: Each month, we offer a special event for COSEM members to learn from Mindfulness and SEL leaders to impact our learning communities and classroom practices. Events are recorded and included in our Learning Library.
